But your lifejacket must always be your TOP layer! If you wear an inflatable lifejacket underneath a heavy jacket or waterproof layer:
It can restricted from inflating properly if you fall in.
It can crush your chest and restrict your breathing when it fires.
It hides your pull-cords and emergency whistle from quick access.
Buckle your lifejacket up last.Adjust the straps so it sits snug over your winter layers.
